FLEX FILTER ATEX-Modular Designed Dust Collector

High-vacuum dust filtration system for potentially combustible dust, compliant with the ATEX Directive.

FlexFilter EX is designed for integration into a complete extraction system. Equipped with an explosion relief panel, it is built to withstand the overpressure generated by a potential explosion. The harmful effects of an explosion are minimised by venting the overpressure and flame propagation through the relief panel into a safe area. The dust collector is fully grounded across all its modular components. All electrical equipment is EX-rated for combustible dust.

Two dust collection options are available:

• A standard 70-litre collection bin, complete with a balancing kit to allow easy removal of the collected dust into a conductive plastic bag.
• A fully automatic discharge device with a conductive plastic bag and grounding cables, designed for larger installations.

A control filter is supplied as standard, allowing the use of non-EX-rated vacuum units.

It is essential to know the properties of the extracted material. FlexFilter EX is intended to be part of an extraction system handling materials with the following characteristics:

• Dust explosion class: St1 and St2
• Pmax: ≤ 10 bar
• MIE (Minimum Ignition Energy): > 1 mJ
• MIT (Minimum Ignition Temperature): > 205°C
