Explosion pressure-resistant device designed to prevent the propagation of explosion pressure waves and flame fronts to upstream sections of the extraction system.
The CARZ explosion isolation flap valve is designed as an explosion pressure-resistant device and is capable of preventing the transmission of hazardous explosion effects, such as pressure waves and flame fronts, to upstream areas of the system.
The internal flap is held open by the airflow generated by the fan. In the event of an explosion inside the dust collector, the resulting pressure wave forces the flap to close, after which it is mechanically locked in position by dedicated locking devices. The wide opening angle ensures a low pressure drop during normal operation. When closed, the flap forms an effective barrier against the explosion, preventing its propagation to upstream work areas and thereby helping to protect personnel, equipment and the working environment.
