FK 25 - THE COMPACT AND ENERGY SAVING CASSETTE FILTER. 


BASIC CONCEPTS

1. Dirty air inlet.
2. The dirty air is distributed by a deflector plate and by a perforated steel divider plate in order to spread the dust evenly across the filter cassettes.
3. The air is filtered by the patented filter cassettes and the dust is deposited on the outside of the filter media. The filter cassettes are cleaned while working by short pulses of compressed air which enter the venturis located at the top edge of the filter cassette.
4. Cleaned air outlet.
5. Compressed air tank wilh solenoid valves generate the cleaning pulses.
6.Clean air side of the filter cassette with venturi nozzles.
7. During cleaning the collected dust is dislodged and falls into the hopper for disposal through a collection bin, a screw conveyor, a rotary valve or similar airlock.

 


Compact size with a large filter area

An FK25 cassette filter would contain 2 or more filter cassettes and, depending on the dust's characteristics and concentration, each cassette would have 4 or 6 rows of filters (at 7.5 m2 and 11 m2 filter area respectively). The patented design and manufacturing technique lead a filter cassette with a very large filter area.
The collected dust accumulates on the outside of the filter surface and special medias can be supplied to suit the dust to be handled. If required, the filter media can be supplied with antistatic features and this, together with the compact filter dimensions and electrically conductive steel construction, provides an effective reduction in any static electrical charges.

 

 


Effective cleaning

The short filter cassette's length, the optimised internal construction and the use of the venturi nozzles mean that the filter cassette is effectively cleaned with a very low compressed air consumption and without causing damage to the filter media.


Easy maintenance

As a clean filter cassette only weighs from 12 to 15 kg it can be easily handled by one person. When a filter cassette requires replacement it is released by disengaging two handles and then by withdrawing it from the unit. (no tools are required)
As an additional safety feature, the filter casing access door cannot be closed unless the filter cassette has been correctly installed. The complete filter casette removal and replacement can be completed in less than a minute.

 

Different filter cassettes for different dusts

Because dust can occur in many different forms: Dense; Light; Fine; Fibrous; Adhesive; Hygroscopic; Abrasive or electrically charged it is important to choose the correct filter media.
